Uniquely Perfect

No matter how many newborns I see, it is always amazing to me just how different they all are. Some love to be awake, some love their sleep…. some are smiley, and some are contemplative…. and from the way the curl their toes, to the soft baby hair on their ears they are so uniquely perfect.

Welcome to the world little angel….

My Own.

I hit the beach with my own little men on one spectacular night.   To say that they are into airplanes right now is the understatement of the century….it is more like an obsession. Words cannot express how much I love these two amazing boys and how much I treasure these images. I know they won’t be little forever but I will always be able to reminisce and get all sappy with my pictures. I suppose this is why I “do what I do” and why I get all emotional about taking portraits for other families. It simply means so very much to me.

I am headed out of town for the weekend for some much needed rest with just my hubby. My house will be full of people trying to manage my two boys while we are away:) I will return all phone calls and email on Monday!

New

What a blessing to get to spend the morning with one of my favorite families. It seems like just yesterday that I was photographing their first son as a newborn and now the sands of time have brought us to the second little man in their lives.  Thanks Beth and Tony, for sharing your little slice of heaven with me for a few hours:)

The Last Hoorah

Summer is officially over here and it is fall, I am so very sad.   I really, really  don’t like the end of summer, not because I don’t like the fall, but because I really don’t like winter. I was meant to be living in Florida or somewhere that jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt is as bundled as I would ever have to be.  As soon as the temperature nears 50 degrees,  I break out my down comforter and my heating blanket (the best Christmas present my husband has EVER gotten me) and I hunker down for the arctic.  Really, when it goes below 50, my teeth chatter when I get out of the shower and I feel so angry when I have to get into a cold bed at night.  Only 6 more months of cold.

I met with this fantastic family a few weeks ago on one of the last beautiful nights we had at the beach. The weather was simply perfect, as was the sky. That brilliant blue that makes you want to get outside, play with your family, laugh really loud and of course, take some pictures!
